September 1999 the board gave their concurrence to seek a DOT contract for this project; namely a 4-foot widening and resurfacing of Ridge Road from US29 to its end. This includes about 0.3 mile within the city limit. The DOT has now returned the contract to the county for signing. Commissioner Brown provided a second to the motion. The motion carried unanimously.

4.      Charles Sanford Subdivision

Commissioner Hannah entered a motion to correspond with Mr. Sanford concerning his proposed "private" subdivision development. During discussion of the motion, the sense of the commissioners was that a variance should be submitted after all other approvals are received.  Commissioner Brown provided a second to the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
