Executive Session

January 22, 2001

Motion by Commissioner Dorsey, second by Commissioner Burdick to go into Executive Session from Planning Meeting for the purpose of discussing the acquisition of real estate. Vote 4-0. Time 7:00 p.m.

The County Administrator brought the board up to date on the efforts to purchase the Lewis property adjacent to the library. Condemnation was discussed. Walter Gordon explained the process to the board.

Commissioner Dorsey discussed this earlier (6-12 months ago) with Ms. Lewis about her property.

County Administrator proposed that condemnation proceedings be authorized with a date of January 29, 2001. Between now and next Monday Ms. Lewis would know the full intention of the board. The board decided to wait.

Motion by Commissioner Banister, second by Commissioner Burdick to adjourn. Vote 4-0. Time 7:30 p.m.
