Hart County Board of Commissioners

The Hart County Board of Commissioners met July 30th, 2001 at 12 noon the Hart County Administrative & Emergency Services Center.

 

Chairman R. C. Oglesby presided with Commissioners Ken Brown, Don Burdick and Joey Dorsey in attendance.

 

Chairman Oglesby called the meeting to order and announced the purpose of the meeting was to discuss a patrol car purchase, specs for paving Peek Subdivision, and bushhog payment request.

 

·        Patrol car

 

After a brief discussion, Commissioner Dorsey entered a motion to purchase (1) used 2001 Ford Crown Victoria from Richardson Motors at $12,300. Commissioner Brown provided a second to the motion. The motion carried unanimously.

 

·        Bushhog payment

 

Public Works Director Jon Caime explained that his office is getting the list of county roads that are being bushhogged approximately six weeks after the cut.  He recommended payment based on staff knowledge of complaints that have been satisfied.

 

·        Specs paving-Peek Subdivision

 

After discussing the paving project the commissioners directed Public Works Director Caime to approve 6" compacted base for Peek Subdivision.

 

Billy Ethridge reported that he would be installing a cattle crossing on Liberty Hill Road for a county resident. He asked the commissioners approval to cut across the road and supply asphalt to patch the area.

 

It was agreed that the county would supply asphalt for the site.

 

Commissioner Burdick entered a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Brown provided a second to the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
