In the regular session, the following topics were covered:

1.                  The County Administrator requested that the Road Foreman, Tony Johnson, be allowed to drive a county vehicle home at nights & weekends. Tony responds to the majority of after hour requests and fills in for Ronnie Dickerson in supervising the Road Department in Ronnie's absence. The Board concurred in the request.

2.                  The County Administrator requested that the Board approve purchasing a Broom Truck for the Road Department and a Welder for the Maintenance Shop. These items were previously approved in the FY02 Budget but by policy decision were to be delayed until January 1, 2002. The Broom Truck is needed for the upcoming paving and our present welder is quite unpredictable and would not function this past week. Vote 5-0.
